Student Advising and Registration (Lewiston Campus)

     •  Schedule a COMPASS placement assessment if needed. (To schedule a COMPASS test on campus, contact the Center for New Directions, 208-792-2331, cost is $15*.) COMPASS is not required if Admissions has received:  

-ACT, SAT or COMPASS test scores taken in the last five years (two years recommended).

-Official college transcripts verifying successful completion of English composition and math courses.
 

  • Activate your WarriorWeb account and set your password.
  • Ensure your transfer courses have been evaluated (if applicable) by checking WarriorWeb.
  • Sign up for STAR (Student Advising & Registration) on-line or by calling 208-792-2313.

Apply for Financial Aid

  • Stay in constant contact with Financial Aid, 208-792-2224 or 800-933-5272 ext. 2224, and keep a copy of every document you receive.
  • Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at www.pin.ed.gov.
  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.gov. LCSC’s Federal school code is 001621.
  • Submit all financial aid paperwork including scholarship applications by the March 1 priority deadline.
  • Review SAR (Student Aid Report) and make necessary corrections.
  • Students can only be awarded Financial Aid once all requested information/documentation has been submitted to the Financial Aid Office (may include copies of your/your parents previous year’s tax return and W-2 information for verification purposes) and the student has been at least tentatively admitted to the college.
  • Financial Aid will not be disbursed until the admission process is complete.

Review Housing Options (Lewiston Campus)

      •  Complete and submit a housing application.
     •  Mail the application with a room deposit to the Controller’s Office.
     •  Find off-campus housing information.

Health Insurance

· The state of Idaho has mandated that all students enrolled in twelve or more credits must be covered by health insurance.  When enrolled in 12 or more credits, students are automatically enrolled in the LCSC student health insurance Plan (SHIP).  SHIP may be waived by logging onto WarriorWeb and entering proof of major medical health insurance policy
coverage that is comparable to LCSC student health insurance when you register.  For more information, contact Student Health Services at 208-792-2251 or 800-933-5272, ext. 2251.

Pay Your Tuition/Fees

     · For tuition, fee and payment information, go to www.lcsc.edu/controllersoffice/tuition-fees-payment-info.htm.

  • View billing statements on WarriorWeb: https://warriorweb.lcsc.edu. Statements will not be mailed.

  • Fall fees are billed mid-July and Spring fees are billed mid-December.  Fees are due by the 5th day of the semester. 

  • Don’t stand in line, pay on-line!  Pay on-line with MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Electronic Check using your WarriorWeb account.

Final Transcripts

      •  Final transcripts are required to complete the admission process. Track the status of any outstanding admission items on WarriorWeb.

  • You will not receive full credit for college-level courses until your official transcript is received by Admissions.
  • You will not be able to register for a second semester until the admission process is complete.
  • Financial Aid will not be disbursed until the admission process is complete.
            •  Freshmen: Submit final high school transcript after you graduate. IF you enrolled in any college courses while in high school those transcripts must be submitted to Admissions as well.
            •  Transfers: Don’t leave your current college without requesting they send your final transcript as soon as grades have been recorded. Make sure all degrees are posted.

    OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT POLICY: Official college transcripts must arrive in Admissions in a sealed envelope or faxed as official by the sending institution. Photocopied/scanned/e-mailed records are not considered official. Official transcripts must be faxed directly to the Office of Admission/Registrar, (208) 792-2876, by the issuing institution. An official faxed transcript must include a cover sheet with current date, name of institution, sender’s name, fax and telephone number, student’s name, date of birth, a transcript explanation key and a notation from the sending institution that the transcript is official. All transcripts and test scores become the property of LCSC and cannot be copied, returned or forwarded.

     •  If you have not yet visited campus, we would enjoy showing you around. Our campus visitation program is specifically designed around your interests and goals. During a campus visit, you have the opportunity to:
         • Tour campus and residence halls
         • Meet with an enrollment advisor
         • Enjoy a complimentary meal in the Student Union Building
         • Participate in a student shadow (Technical & Industrial programs only)

Advising

  • You will receive an email confirmation that your transcripts have been evaluated normally within one week, providing we’ve received official transcripts.  You may view your Transcript Equivalency Report via WarriorWeb, warriorweb.lcsc.edu.

  • After you have received the email confirmation that your transcripts have been evaluated, make an appointment and meet with your advisor, 208-666-6707.

  • Complete the Program Information Form (PIF) with your advisor.

  • Check that all prerequisites have been met.

  • Ensure your advisor has “released” you for registration.
