Student Advising and Registration - STAR (Lewiston Campus)

Congratulations on your acceptance to Lewis-Clark State College!  Your next step is to register for classes.

Transfer Students - If you are a transfer student, bringing 14 or more credits from another institution, and place into core level mathematics and English or higher, you will contact your academic division. You can find contact information for academic divisions here.

What is STAR?

  • A program designed to help you understand what is expected of you, what you can expect from us and what to do to register.

When is STAR?

  • Sessions are offered at various times throughout the year in preparation for each new semester.  Please call Career and Advising Services at 208.792.2313 or visit www.lcsc.edu/advising/star/reserve.htm for more information.

Who needs to attend STAR?

  • All new entering students.

What to do before attending STAR?

  • Activate your WarriorWeb account and set your password.
  • Before you register, you must complete an ACT, SAT or Compass test.
  • Print a copy of your Test Summary and Transfer Equivalency Report (if applicable) from WarriorWeb.
  • Sign up for STAR (Student Advising & Registration) on-line or by calling 208.792.2313.

LCMail

LCMail is LCSC's official source to reach students through e-mail, news articles, and calendar events.  It is similar to other web-based e-mail systems and is easy to use.  LCMail is accessible from any computer with internet access.

How do I access LCMail?

  1. Go to LCMail at lcmail.lcsc.edu.
  2. Click the "Sign In" button and type in your login ID and password.  Passwords are case sensitive.
  3. After a successful login, you must change your password before you're able to use your LCMail account.  You will only have to do this the first time you log in.
  4. Instructions for use are available on LCMail in the help section.

  1. Access warriorweb.lcsc.edu and click on "Enter"
  2. Find your login by clicking on "What's my User ID?"
  3. Find your password by clicking on "What's my password?"
  4. You're LCMail address is userid@lcmail.lcsc.edu

 

Financial Aid

  • Need to apply for federal financial aid?  Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) at www.pin.ed.gov and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov.
  • FAFSA and scholarship applications must be submitted by March 1st for priority consideration.
  • Award letters for federal aid must be accessed via WarriorWeb.
  • Contact the Financial Aid Office if your student status has changed (tentatively admitted to fully admitted).
  • Financial aid is distributed only after you are fully admitted.

Residence Life/Housing (Lewiston Campus)

     •  Complete a residence hall application at www.lcsc.edu/reslife.
     •  Mail residence hall application with room deposit to Controller’s Office.
     •  Search for off-campus housing information.

Health Insurance

The State of Idaho mandates that all full-time full-fee paying students enrolled in twelve or more credits must be covered by health insurance. Students are automatically enrolled in the LCSC Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) but may waive insurance at the time of registration. Waivers must be submitted by the waiver deadline for each semester that students wish to opt out of the LCSC plan.

Tuition/Fees

  • Fall fees are posted mid-July and Spring fees are posted mid-December on WarriorWeb.  Fees are due by the 5th day of the semester.
  • Find tuition, fee and payment information at www.lcsc.edu/controllersoffice/fee-tuition-sched.htm. For more information, click on student accounts.
  • Payment plans are available. Contact the Controller’s Office for details.
  • Pay online with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Electronic Check using your WarriorWeb account.

Final Official Transcripts

  • Request official final transcript to be sent to the Office of Admission/Registrar.
  • Track the status of outstanding admission items and your application status on WarriorWeb.
  • Transfer students: A transfer equivalency report may be viewed on WarriorWeb within one week of receiving an official transcript.

Note:

  • Once full admission is granted, students will be able to register for a second semester.

  • After your admission process is complete, financial aid will be released for distribution:
            •  Freshmen: Submit final high school transcript after you graduate. If you enrolled in any college courses while in high school those transcripts must be submitted to Admissions as well.
            •  Transfers: Send your final transcript as soon as grades have been recorded. Ensure all degrees are posted.

    OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT POLICY:

  • Official college transcripts must arrive in a sealed envelope or faxed as official by the sending institution. Photocopied/scanned/e-mailed records are not considered official.

  • Official transcripts must be faxed directly to the Office of Admission/Registrar, 208.792.2876, by the issuing institution. An official faxed transcript must include a cover sheet with current date, name of institution, sender’s name, fax and telephone number, student’s name, date of birth, a transcript explanation key and a notation from the sending institution that the transcript is official.

  • All transcripts and test scores become the property of LCSC and cannot be copied, returned or forwarded.

Campus Parking (Lewiston Campus)

  • Parking on campus in designated areas is by permit only during the academic year.
  • Purchase a campus parking permit at the Controller’s Office or Student Union Building Information desk.

Now that you're admitted to LC-CDA, you are ready to register for classes.  Visit
www.lcsc.edu/cda and click on SOAR for more information and getting started.

Advising

  • Wait for your official transcript to be evaluated.  You will be notified by LCMail or the account you provided on the application.

  • Schedule an appointment to meet your advisor; call the LC-CDA business office at 208.666.6707.

  • Verify the following with your advisor:

    • Program Information Form (PIF) is completed.

    • Course prerequisites.

    • You are "released" for registration.
