Q: When is the deadline to apply?
A: There is no deadline to apply. But if you are applying from outside of the United States, we
recommend that you apply early so that you can get your visa and make your travel plans.

Academic Credentials
Secondary school graduates must have a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale or meet
the criteria for admission to a college or university in their home country.
Secondary school graduates must submit an official transcript and graduation certification
or examination results.
Post-secondary school students must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA from all previous course work.
Post secondary students must submit an official transcript from each school they have attended.
However, those who have completed 14 or more transferable credits do not need to submit secondary
school documents.
Language Requirements
Language requirements are waived if English is the applicant's native language
and/or the applicant can demonstrate that he or she successfully completed
secondary or post-secondary education in which the language of instruction was
English.
All other applicants can meet LCSC’s language requirement in one of the following ways:
- Submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Score of at least
500 paper based test, 173 computer based test, or 61 on an internet-based test. (Detailed
information about the TOEFL can be found at www.toefl.com Ask the Educational Testing Service
to mail the TOEFL score directly to LCSC at institutional code 4385).
- Submit an IELTS score of 5.0 or higher.
- Complete 14 or more transferable credits at a college or university within
the United States with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
- Attend at least one semester at LCSC’s Institute of Intensive English and
graduate with a grade point average of at least 3.3.
- Successfully complete the top level of English study at a
peer university ESL program. Each applicant will be judged individually, and
acceptance will be made on a case-by-case basis.
- Complete high school in the U.S. and meet the college admission standards for
high school graduates.
- Earn a degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S.
