Heitmann and O’Leary Make the Grade

 LEWISTON--Pitcher Ryan Heitmann (Lewiston, ID/Taft College/Lewiston HS) and outfielder/designated hitter Brandon O’Leary (Portland, OR/Jesuit HS) were named NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes.

Heitmann, a junior Kinesiology major, posted a 4.0 grade point average this past semester, and a cumulative 3.93 for the year. He finished the season with a 4-1 record and a 2.70 earned run average.

O’Leary, a Social Sciences major, finished the semester with a 3.77 GPA and a cumulative 3.85 for the year. The senior batted .280 with six home runs and 27 RBI for the Warriors.

The last NAIA Academic All-America selection for the Warriors was Jake Taylor in 1993.
