Warriors Remain #7 Latest Poll
LEWISTON, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College Warriors remain #7 in the latest NAIA College Baseball Top 25 poll, released Wednesday, April 10th.
The Warriors (23-10) tallied 475 total points. LCSC swept a three-game series, at home, against Western Baptist College.
The top two teams remain the same for the third straight week. Oklahoma City University (36-9) garnered 15 first place votes while Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (35-7) is second with 11 first place votes. Auburn University-Montgomery, Ala. (34-10) follows in third with one first place vote and 603 total points. Union University (30-11) of Jackson, Tenn. moves up two spots to #4 and Houston Baptist University (26-9) remains #5.
The University of British Columbia (21-11) stays #12, despite taking three-of-four games against then #24 Albertson. Albertson College (17-12-1, at the time of the poll) is now #28.
Other colleges that made the 2001 Avista NAIA World Series
field are as follows: #6 Bellevue University (25-10); #11 Dallas Baptist
University (24-12); #19 Indiana Tech (17-7); and, #25 Biola University (20-15).
Warner Southern College picked up six votes and Ohio Dominican College received
two votes for the Top 25.
