Warrior Roll Past Saints, 10-2
LACEY,WA--Collin Perschon pitched six strong innings in leading eighth-ranked Lewis-Clark State College to a 10-2 win over Saint Martin’s College in the first game of a doubleheader, Wednesday afternoon, at Saints Field.
Perschon (4-2) scattered four hits, allowed two runs, and struck out four to lead Lewis-Clark State (26-10). Nic Puckett came on to polish up the last three innings to pick up his first save of the year. Tyler Best led the Warrior offense, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored and two more driven in. Emerson Frostad went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, four RBI, and also hit his third home run of the year. Mike Madrid was 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI, and hit his fifth home run. Tory Haven blasted his team-best 13th home run of the year, a solo shot. LCSC amassed 15 hits.
Bryan Miller led Saint Martin’s (7-20) with a double and a single. Derrick Brasier (0-2) started and got the loss for the Saints. He went six innings, giving up ten hits and eight runs.
