Warriors Rout Mountaineers, 17-4

LEWISTON,ID--Eighth-ranked Lewis-Clark State scored 13 runs in two innings en route to a 17-4 demolition of Eastern Oregon, Friday night, at Harris Field. LCSC has now defeated Eastern 74 straight times.

Emerson Frostad led the way for Lewis-Clark State (27-11), going 2-for-5 at the plate, and he hit his second grand slam of the year in the Warriors seven-run second inning. Paul Gallegos went 1-for-4 at the plate, driving in four runs, two of which came on an eighth inning double. Gabe Stajduhar had two doubles and two runs scored while Nick Walker collected a double and two singles on the evening. Ryan Heitmann (2-1) tossed 5.2 innings for the victory, while Kevin Welch closed out the last 3.1 innings, allowing just one hit, in picking up his second save.

Justin Dosher registered three singles to lead Eastern Oregon (5-22). Ryan Banks (2-6) was roughed up in his two innings of work, allowing six hits and seven earned runs. The Mountaineers committed five errors leading to nine unearned runs.

The same two teams meet on Saturday afternoon, at 2:00 PM.
