Three Additional Warriors Taken In Final Day of Draft 6-8-05 Day number two of the 2005 MLB Amateur draft ended Wednesday afternoon, and Warriors Kyle Wright, Sal Aguilar, and Josh Celigoy were added to the list of names selected off the 2005 L-C roster. Kyle Wright (6-2/170/JR) was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 19th round. The right-handed hurler appeared in 16 games for the Warriors in 2005, while going 7-1 with an era of 2.42. Sal Aguilar (6-1/180/SR) was taken in the 29th round by the New York Mets. The right handed pitcher posted an 8-0 record, with an era of 2.92 in 2005. Josh Celigoy (6-1/210/SR) was picked by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 39th round. The right-handed first baseman hit .339 on the year, while knocking in 45 runs. Overall, six LCSC Warrior players were picked by MLB teams in this years Amateur draft. Yesterday Joey Dyche, Carlos Fisher, and Brad Davis were selected in the first 18 rounds. |
