COLLEGE: Under coach Bob Miller, at Cuesta College, Miller posted a 2.90 ERA and a 10-3 record, and was selected first team All-North-Western State Conference.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Dos Palos High School in 2002. There he played football, basketball, and baseball, and received multiple varsity letters in each sport. He played baseball for coach Jason Van Allman, and was the team's captain during his junior and senior year. Miller was named all-league on multiple occasions in baseball, football, and basketball.

PERSONAL: Born February 12, 1984 in Merced, CA to Mike and Lillian Miller, Michael Joseph Miller enjoys camping, fishing, and basketball. He has five brothers, Chris, Joseph, Jacob, Travis, and Mathew, and two sisters, Sam and Sydney. Miller is majoring in kinesiology.
