LCSC: Started and appeared in four games last year and went 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA. He pitched in eight innings and allowed eight hits and two runs.

JUNIOR COLLEGE: At Lower Columbia Community College, Joaquin was twice a member of both the Western Division First Team and the All-NWACC First Team. During his sophomore year, under coach Kelly Smith, he posted a 0.52 ERA and 13 saves, both school records.  He also struck out 46 and allowed 11 walks. 
HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Maui High School in 1998 where he played soccer and baseball, and received a varsity letter in each sport. As a senior, playing baseball for coach Lee Yonamine, he was named second-team All-State. 
PERSONAL: Born April 8, 1980 in Maui, Hawaii, Jared-Curtis K. Joaquin is the son of Augustine and Coleen Joaquin. He has one brother, Ivan, and one sister, Tammy. Joaquin enjoys fishing and hunting, and is currently pursuing a degree in Kinesiology.
