JUNIOR
COLLEGE: Played pitcher
and catcher for Cerritos Junior College the past two seasons and was
captain last year. He went 2-5 on the mound with four saves and a
team-leading 1.84 ERA. He appeared in 15 games and started three and
recorded 41 strikeouts in 44 innings. At the plate, he went .263
with three doubles and 13 RBI. He was a first-team all-conference
pick as a freshman.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played pitcher and catcher for two seasons at St. John Bosco High
and was captain of the team his senior year. He was named the team’s
MVP and was first-team all-league his senior year after being a
second-team selection as a junior.
PERSONAL:
Born on Feb. 11, 1986 to Gary and Patricia Schwarzenbach, Brad has
one sister, Jamie, who played softball at Creighton University. Brad
has been selected three times in the Major League draft. He was
selected by the San Francisco Giants after his senior year of high
school and then by Atlanta following his freshman year at Cerritos,
both in the 32nd round. Last summer, the New York Mets
chose him in the 44th round. Brad is majoring in
Kinesiology at LCSC.
