PULLMAN, Wash. -
Tuesday night's baseball
game between Washington
State University and
Lewis-Clark State College at
Bailey-Brayton Field was
canceled due to lightning.
The game has been
rescheduled for Tuesday, May
15, at Bailey-Brayton with
first pitch scheduled for
5:30 p.m.
At the time of the delay
Lewis-Clark State held a 6-1
lead in the bottom of the
fifth inning, though the
Cougars had runners at first
and second. The first sight
of lightning occurred at
7:12 p.m. and the game was
delayed at that point. The
game was officially canceled
at 8:41 p.m. as lightning
continued in the Pullman
area.
Statistics in the game will
not count toward season
totals and next Tuesday's
game will begin in the top
of the first inning.
LCSC will take part in the
Region I Tournament starting
Thursday in Caldwell. LCSC,
the top seed at 48-4
overall, will meet fourth
seed Concordia at 11 a.m.,
Pacific time.
