LCSC-Gonzaga
baseball game is washed out
04-23-08
The baseball game scheduled
Wednesday between
Lewis-Clark State College
and Gonzaga for Spokane’s
Patterson’s Baseball Complex
was postponed because of
rain.
The contest will be made up
on May 12 at 6 p.m., also at
Gonzaga’s home field.
The Warriors, 40-04 overall,
remained second in this
week’s NAIA poll, which was
released Wednesday. LCSC
earned 500 points in the
poll and trails only Lubbock
Christian University, which
is 43-1 and drew all 23
first-place votes.
LCU is looking to break the
NAIA record of consecutive
victories. Lubbock Christian
has won 36 straight games
and the all-time NAIA record
is 41 set by Point Park in
1990.
LCSC resumes action on
Friday when it opens a
three-game series against
the University of British
Columbia in Vancouver. LCSC
coach Ed Cheff will be
looking to collect his
1,600th win at LCSC in the
game.
