LCSC:
Was one of three second basemen the Warriors used last season, but
he struggled at the plate. Started 17 of the 31 games he played in,
but hit only .127. Had 10 RBI and also was 2-of-2 in stolen bases.
COLLEGE:
Played two previous seasons at second base at the University of
Washington for coach Ken Knutson. He went 5-for-12 (.417) with one
RBI at the plate his freshman year, and then started 34 games as a
sophomore. That season, he hit .268 with two home runs, eight RBI,
seven stolen bases and 15 runs scored.
HIGH
SCHOOL: Earned three
varsity baseball letters at Kamiakin High and served as the team
captain as a junior and senior. He hit .430 as a junior and .420 as
a senior, which earned him first-team All-Big 9 honors at shortstop
both years. Was a second-team all-state selection both years and
played in the State All-Star Game. Also was a standout receiver and
defensive back on the football team, earning three letters. He broke
the school record for receiving yards in a game (219) and
single-season receptions (65). Earned first-team all-league honors
on both offense and defense as a senior.
PERSONAL: He was
born on Aug. 27, 1986 in Richland, Wash., to Rick and Bobbie
Anderson. He lists his hobbies as snowboarding, wakeboarding, ping
pong, and poker. He is majoring in Kinesiology.
