JUNIOR COLLEGE:
Attended Fresno City College where he pitched for two seasons for
coach Ron Scott. Posted a 6-1 record with one save and a 2.60 ERA in
60 innings as a freshman, and then again went 6-1 as a sophomore.
Also had three saves, a 3.20 and pitched 60 innings.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Kinsburg High School and graduated in May 2003. Earned
three letters for baseball and water polo. He played first base and
outfield as well as pitched. He went 12-1 as a junior with a .091
ERA and 131 strikeouts. He earned all-league and all-valley honors
and was the CIF pitcher of the year. He was the team captain and
MVP. He followed that up with an 11-1 senior year. Had a 1.10 ERA
and struck out 97. He helped the team win its first league title in
school history.
PERSONAL:
Born Aug. 17, 1984 to Chris and Elizabeth Collins. He has one
sister, Lisa. His parents are both teachers and his father played
college baseball at USIU. Lee’s hobbies include golf, MMA, and water
sports. He is majoring in Kinesiology.
