HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Filer High School in southern Idaho before family moved to
Lewiston. Played three years of baseball, two years of soccer, one
year of football and wrestled one year as well. During senior year,
he went 6-2 with a 1.39 ERA to earn all-region and all-state honors.
He posted a 3.85 GPA in high school. Also played two seasons for the
Lewis-Clark Twins American Legion baseball team where he went 8-2
with a 2.90 ERA prior to his senior year.
PERSONAL:
Born Oct. 27, 1988 to Kent and Sandra Knigge. Has three brothers,
Cameron, Kyle, and Kasey. His father was a standout player for the
Warriors and also helped announce LCSC games last year on TV. Both
parents graduated from LCSC in 1984. Tyler is majoring in Elementary
Education/Special Education at LCSC.
