LCSC:
Was granted an extra year of eligibility by the NAIA. Last season,
he hit .398 with a .660 slugging percentage. Hit .422 against
left-handers, .379 against right-handers and .397 with runners in
scoring position. Also hit .500 (6-of-12) with the bases loaded. Had
a great Avista NAIA World Series where he was named to the
all-tournament team. In 2006, he played in 12 games and started two.
Hit .304 on the season (7-of-23) with eight runs scored and four
RBI. He went 6-of-17 against right-handed pitching and 6-of-16 with
runners on. He also played at Skagit Valley after redshirting at
LCSC in 2004.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Graduated from Molokai High School where he letter four years in
baseball. Was the High School MVP and All-State selection in 1999
and American Legion MVP in 2001 with a .375 batting average. He was
a first-team All-State and All-League selection in 1999 and a
first-team All-State Selection again in 2000.
PERSONAL:
Born Dec. 7, 1983, to Curt and Kui Lester in Honolulu. He is a
Criminal Justice major at LCSC.
