COLLEGE:
Attended Northwest Nazarene University last season in Nampa and went
5-5 with a 4.04 ERA. He started 11 of the 13 games he appeared in
and pitched 75.2 innings. He struck out 38 and walked 17. Spent two
previous years at Walla Walla Community College where he was a
pitcher. He had the lowest ERA on the team as a freshman, and
played in the conference’s All-Star Game as a sophomore.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Mountain View High where he earned three letters in both
baseball and basketball, and also was on the football team. As a
sophomore, his team won the conference title in baseball and
finished third at State. He was third at state on the basketball
team his junior season, and then was named a first-team
all-conference selection as an outfielder in baseball during his
senior year, while helping the basketball team to a fifth-place
finish at State.
PERSONAL:
Born March 11, 1986 to Jeff and Berlene Mace. Has one brother,
Jared. His father played at LCSC and is a hitting instructor.
Justin’s hobbies are camping, fishing, and working out. He is
majoring in Kinesiology at LCSC.
