College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls for coach Boomer Walker. Posted a
5-5 record with a 3.63 ERA,
which was third on the team.
Pitched 79.1 innings and
struck out 59. Opponents hit
only .243 off of him.
Went 2-1 during his freshman
year with most of his 15
appearances coming out of
the bullpen.

SCHOOL:
Attended Capital
High School
in
Boise
and graduated in 2007.
Played baseball for three
seasons and football for one
with the Eagles. In football
he was a tight end and wide
receiver. On the baseball
team, he pitched, played
first base, and also played
center field. He served as
team captain his senior
year. Earned first-team
all-state honors as a
pitcher in 2007 and had the
most strikeouts on the staff
with 89. Also earned
all-Southern Idaho Conference Academic Award as a senior.

Born June 23, 1989. Parents
are Charlie and DeAnna
Barrett. He has two younger
sisters, Bailey and Hanah.
Has a cousin, Preston
Minter, who plays football
at
Boise
State
and his uncle, Cedric
Minter, played for the New
York Jets and in the CFL.
His hobbies include sports,
music and traveling. He is
pursuing a degree in Sports
Administration.
