PREVIOUS COLLEGE: Played at Kansas Wesleyan University last year where he was a first-team NAIA All American at catcher. Played two previous seasons at Cypress College in California. Last season at KWU he hit .435 (74-of-170) with 17 doubles, two triples and 12 home runs. He also drove in 40 and had a slugging percentage of .771.  At Cypress he was a right-fielder for two seasons and was captain of the team his sophomore season. Started 14 games as a freshman and hit .290 with 13 RBI and six doubles.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Quartz Hill High School in 2004 where he was both a pitcher and a catcher. Was captain of his team during his senior season. Led the team in batting average all four seasons and was a first-team all-league selection as a senior.

PERSONAL: Born on July 28, 1986 in Lancaster, Calif. His parents are Terry and JoAnn Burke and he has one sister, Emilie. Lists his hobbies as cars, trucks, and hunting. Is majoring in Kinesiology. Is versatile as he can play catcher, first base, third base and outfield.
