NAIA Cross Country Rankings
Women Crack the Top Ten; Men Move Up in the Polls
Lewiston, ID- The current NAIA cross country rankings were released, and on the strength of their respective victories in the Hampton Inn Classic, both the men’s and women’s programs moved up in the rankings.
The women, who were ranked 12th in the preseason, are now ranked as the 10th team in the nation.
The men achieved the highest ranking in Lewis-Clark State College history, as they moved up fifteen spots in the polls, and are currently ranked as the 13th team in the nation.
The next meet for the men’s and women’s cross country teams is the UW Sundodger meet, on September 18th in Seattle, WA. Coach Mike Collins is looking to build on the team’s recent success: “This is one of the big meets of the year with a lot of regional schools. Our intentions are to continue to build on the success one day at a time and let the results take care of themselves.”
The next NAIA cross country rankings will be released on September 24. The current rankings can be found at www.naia.org. For more information on the Warrior Cross Country program, visit us at www.lcsc.edu/athletics.
