Runner

Lewis-Clark
State College’s Cross Country program is
happy to announce Brett Fowler as the
newest member of their 2006 roster.
Fowler, currently a senior runner at
Asotin High School, has signed a letter
of intent and will be running for the
Warriors next year. Head cross country
coach Mike Collins holds the local
runner in high esteem, “I believe that
Brett is one of the best talents to come
out of this valley in a long time. He is
driven and motivated to continue to get
better, and to be a contributor to a
team that finished this past year ranked
#21 in the country.”
Although
born in Virginia, Fowler has lived
almost his entire life in the
Lewis-Clark area, and has been involved
in cross country and track at Asotin
High School throughout his high school
years. He has led the Asotin Cross
Country team, a very young program, to
state competitions, and has established
them as a dominant force at the
Washington B level. Coach Collins on
Fowler’s expected impact stated, “We
believe that Brett will make us even
better next year. He is a guy I know I
can count on to give his best each and
every day. We feel fortunate that he has
decided to attend LCSC, considering that
he had a lot of opportunities at other
schools.”
