At Butte, Mont., The Lewis-Clark State men's and women's golf teams are both tied for second behind Rocky Mountain College after the first day of the Frontier Conference meet, put on by Montana Tech.

The Warrior women shot 328 and 324 as a team. Rocky Mountain's opening-round mark of 304 was a conference record.

The L-C women all broke 90 in the two 18-hole rounds Monday, led by Nikki Olson, who shot a 79 and an 81 to claim third overall. Christina Bernicki was close behind with scores of 83 and 79, and Kara Player, who had identical rounds of 82.
