James comes to LCSC with impressive credentials. Last year, prior to signing with LCSC in the fall, he played 33 rounds in tournament action, and in all but one, he matched or bettered par. He was 70-under-par during those rounds and his average score per round was 69.8… attended Bishopbriggs High School in Glasgow… is one of two freshmen on the team from another country. 

PERSONAL: Born Feb. 2, 1988  to Mary and Jim Rooney. He has one sister, Maxine 

GOLF HIGHLIGHTS: Qualified for Youngest Gents Club Championship, and was a top three finisher at the West of Scotland Boys Tournament in 2006
