LCSC men’s golf team
falls out of Golf World/NIKE Top 25
3-12-08
Because it hasn’t
played in a match since the last poll came out, the
Lewis-Clark State College men’s golf team fell out of
the Top 25 in the second Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA
Coaches Poll of the spring, which was released
Wednesday.
LCSC, which was
No. 20 in the first poll, fell into a tie for No. 26
with 15 points, two behind the No. 25 team, Williams
Woods.
The Warriors
resume action on Monday and Tuesday when they play host
to the LCSC Invitational at the Clarkston Golf & Country
Club.
In the poll,
Oklahoma Christian earned five of six first-place votes
and remained the top team in the poll. The Eagles opened
the spring with a 15-stroke victory at the OCU Arizona
Intercollegiate—their fourth win in six starts. Rounding
out the top-five are British Columbia (No. 2), Oklahoma
City (No. 3), Johnson & Wales (No. 4) and Point Loma
Nazarene (No. 5).
Rocky Mountain
is ranked No. 16, falling two spots from the previous
poll.
