Madeline Jarrett,
a senior at Jesuit High School in Portland, Ore., has
signed a letter of intent to play for the Lewis-Clark
State College women’s golf team next season, Warrior
women’s golf coach Steve Tilden announced Wednesday.
Jarrett is the
cousin of Chris Jarrett, who is a sophomore from Bend,
Ore., on the LCSC men’s team.
Madeline Jarrett
helped Jesuit High place second at the Oregon State
Class 6A golf tournament last spring. She finished
second in both the 2006 and 2007 Metro League
tournament, which helped her earn all-league honors both
seasons. She was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player
last season and Most Improved during her sophomore
year.
“Madeline is a
very solid golfer with a lot of tournament experience,”
Tilden says. “She is very long and accurate off the tee
and also possesses a good touch around the greens. I
expect Madeline to make an immediate impact on the team.
I was very impressed when I watched her play and feel
very fortunate that she chose Lewis Clark State
College.”
Tilden says
Jarrett also excels in the classroom and has earned
honors in both Math and General Studies.
