Villa finishes
fourth as Warriors wind up sixth

BELLINGHAM,
Wash. – Lewis-Clark State College junior Juanita Villa
fired an 80 Tuesday over the final 18 holes to finish
fourth overall in the Western Washington Invitational at
the Bellingham Golf and Country Club.
Villa had a
36-hole total of 156, which put her nine shots behind
the medalists and four shots out of second place.
Villa tied for low
round for the Warriors with Sue James, who also had an
80 on Tuesday. Samara Kluever added an 82, while
Courtney Shrout had an 87. The Warriors again were
forced to play without a fifth player as both Alana
Norris and substitute Niki Fisher were ill and couldn’t
play.
The Warriors, the
lone NAIA school in the seven-team tournament, finished
sixth overall. The other six teams, all NCAA Division II
schools, were led by Western Washington at 626, while
St. Martin’s finished second at 634.
