Villa has individual
lead; Warrior men and
women stand second

HELENA,
Mont. – Lewis-Clark State College junior Juanita Villa
fired a 1-under-par 143 on Monday to stand as the
individual leader after two rounds of the Carroll
Invitational golf tournament.
The
54-hole tournament, which serves as one of five Frontier
Conference tournaments, wraps up with the final 18 holes
on Tuesday.
Both
the LCSC men’s and women’s teams are in second place
behind Rocky Mountain. On the men’ side, Rocky Mountain
has a 579 total, followed by LCSC at 589. On the women’s
side, Rocky has a 609 total, which would put it in
fourth place on the men’s side. LCSC is second at 630.
Villa
fired a 1-over-par 73 during the opening 18 holes, but
came back with a 70 to grab the women’s individual
leader. Teammate Sue James, a freshman playing in her
first collegiate tournament, had a 156 after rounds of
77 and 79.
On the
men’s side, Nik Arrenbrecht led LCSC with a 144, which
also included a 2-under-par 70 on the second 18.
