LCSC CAREER: Easily the most improved player on the squad last season and also earned Frontier Conference All-Academic honors… Turned some heads in her first varsity tournament because after recording rounds of 98 and 90 in the first two rounds, she fired a personal best 1-over-par 73, which was the lowest round of all golfers at the tourney… Continued her solid play by finishing second on the team in her next tournament… Started the spring solid by shooting a 172, which tied for third overall in the LCSC Invitational… Kept it going by being the team’s low scorer in the final two regular-season events, including a round of 80… At the conference postseason tournament, she had back-to-back 79s, and then an 82 in the final round… Redshirted the 2009-10 season, which allowed her to keep her freshman eligibility.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 20, 1990 in Marion, N.C., to Michael and Joy Whisenant… She has two sisters, Sarah and Hannah, and one brother, Avery… Sarah graduated from LCSC and Hannah attended for two years before studying abroad… Was home schooled, but sang in both the Treble Choir and Golden Voices at Lewiston High School and was selected for the Unsung Hero Award in both choirs… Posted a 4.0 her first semester at LCSC and made the President’s List both semesters… Received invitation to join National Society of Leadership and Success, and National Honor Society… Also received Provost Scholarship and Idaho Promise Scholarship based on her current GPA of 3.92 entering the fall… Has posted a 4.0 in three of her four semesters at LCSC. Earned Warrior Athletic Association Student Honors two straight seasons.
