Post the most doubles
victories and was second on
the team in singles win last
season… Went 12-7 in singles
play and 113-9 in doubles…
Played the most singles and
doubles matches combined

Enjoyed a strong first
season at LCSC in 2008 and
finished by playing at No. 5
singles and No. 2 doubles…
Highlight of the season came
in the team’s lone victory
against Eastern Washington,
her former school. .. Played
anywhere at Nos. 3-5 singles
last year.

LCSC:
Attended Eastern Washington
University for a year before
transferring to LCSC.
HIGH
SCHOOL:
Attended Tenino High School
where she played on the
volleyball, tennis and
basketball teams… In tennis,
she was a four-year letter
winning and played at No. 1
singles… She qualified for
the state tournament her
final three seasons and was
third as a junior and second
as a senior… Recorded a 56-0
record in singles matches in
league play… Played
basketball for three seasons
and helped the team to two
state tournaments also was a
second-team all-league
basketball selection as a
junior and senior… Was a
four-year letterwinner in
volleyball and earned
first-team all-league setter
her final two seasons… She
also was named The Olympian
newspaper’s All-Area Athlete
of the Year in 2005.

Wash to Steve and Jane
Smedley… Both parents were
school teachers before her
dad became superintendent…
Mom played tennis at Central
Washington University and
her dad played tennis at
Clark College and Washington
State University for a year…
Has two brothers, Tyler and
Ryan, and one sister,
Katelynn… Brother Tyler ran
cross country at Western
Washington University…
Several relatives were also
college athletes, ranging
from football to rowing… Was
her high school’s
Salutatorian with a 3.975
GPA… Was a national Honor
Band selection in 2005…
Hobbies are sports, reading,
cooking, hiking, and
anything outdoors… Is
majoring in Secondary
Education-Mathematics.
