Washington –
Lindsay Szybura took
first in the 3000 meter
steeplechase, Kyli Astle
claimed fourth in the
1500, and Melissa Neuman
finished sixth in the
hammer throw for the
Lewis-Clark State
College women's track
team at the Duane
Hartman Invite on
Saturday.
Szybura, a sophomore,
dominated the
steeplechase with a time
of 11:49.50, as her
closest competition
finished over 23 seconds
behind.
Neuman took sixth with a
score of 128-feet and
9-inches in the hammer
throw. The junior also
placed 14th in discus.
In the 1500, Astle had a
time of 4:57.66 to take
fourth, followed by
teammate Emily Perkins
who finished in 5:20.81
for eight place. And in
the 5000, Jessie Gulsvig
finished seventh with a
time of 10:03.47.
Aaron Galbraight, a member of the LCSC
men’s cross country team,
took part in the meet
and won the 5000 with a
time of 15:31.07.
Teammates Adrian Ramirez
and Sean Huey finished
in second and seventh
respectively with times
of 15:43.17 and
16:06.90. Nathan Uhlorn,
throwing shot put for
LCSC, finished sixth
with a total of 45-feet
and 1-inch.
