Capped an outstanding year
at Everett High by winning
the Washington State 3A shot
put title and finishing
second in the discus during
the State meet her senior
year… Also threw the javelin
in high school… When she
signed with LCSC in early
May, she was ranked the
state’s No. 5 shot putter in
high school, and also was
No. 13 in discus and No. 32
in javelin… Her top marks
her senior year were close
to meeting the qualifying
marks for the NAIA national
meet… Was named the Gatorade
Rookie of the Year in 2005.

and Corey Smith and her
step-father is Lance Swehla,
who is head women’s softball
coach at Shoreline Community
College… Has one sister,
Alyshia (22), and twin
brothers, Drew (20) and

hiking, swimming, river
rafting, rock climbing, and
anything outdoors. Has a
double major of Chemistry
and Biology at LCSC.
