Redshirted in cross country, but competed in
track…At the first indoor meet he placed
19th in the mile run…Also ran the 3,200
where he finished 24th in the WSU
Open...Also ran 16:09 in the 5,000.
FRESHMAN:
In his first
collegiate race at the Whitman Invite,
Pierson finished sixth overall with a time
of 19:40.61…Finished No. 4 on LCSC and 50th
overall at the Charles Bowles Invitational
with a time of 25:25…Placed 57th at the LCSC
Invite, crossing the line in 29:48.9… No. 9
Warrior finisher at Frontier Conference
Championships, placing 16th overall with a
time of 28:54.4.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Attended Coeur
d’Alene High School where he earned three
letters in cross country and two in track,
while serving as captain for both squads his
senior year…A pitcher on the baseball team
and a guard/forward on the basketball
squad…In cross country, placed ninth as a
junior and eighth as a senior in the Class
5A Idaho State meet…Ran the second-fastest
5K time in school history and was a
three-time MVP for the team…Qualified for
state both years he ran track and his 3,200m
relay team took fifth at the meet.

Born on Dec. 12,
1990 in Coeur d’Alene…Parents are Jim and
Gigi Pierson and he has a brother
Matt…Hobbies include running, outdoor
activities and sports…Uncle participated on
the North Idaho College and University of
Idaho track teams… Played on a Little League
team that won the state title…Junior Olympic
qualifier in cross country…Majoring in
Kinesiology.
