Kelsie’s all-around
athletic ability should help her as she makes
the transition to cross country. She is coming
off a successful track career at Deary and also
ran cross country her final year, which was the
first year it was available at the school. She
is another freshman who could be a factor in the
Warriors’ improvement this season.
PERSONAL:
Born Aug. 24, 1989 in Moscow to Derrick and
Lorie Eggers. She has one younger brother,
Brandon Eggers.
High school:
Lettered in volleyball, basketball and track all
four years and cross country during her senior
year. Was volleyball captain for two years, and
was named Most Inspirational and Most Valuable
both her junior and senior seasons.Led the
Mustangs in most digs and serves. Participated
in the Idaho State Volleyball Tournament her
final two years. Was captain and two-time MVP
and Most Inspirational of the basketball team.
Led the team in assists and points, and was
voted best defender in the Whitepine League. She
participated in the District II All-Star games
for volleyball and basketball.Holds the high
school records for the 1,600m and 3,200m and
competed in the Idaho State 1A track meet for
three seasons. During her senior year, she
finished third in the district cross country
meet and 21st at the state meet.Was named the
school’s Female Athlete of the Year.
