Former LCSC runner
Paxton competes in U.S. Olympic trials

BOSTON
– Lisa Paxton, a former member of the
Lewis-Clark State College cross country
team, finished 119th in the U.S. Olympic
Marathon trials, which were held Sunday.
Paxton, a 2003 LCSC graduated and member of
the cross country team, finished the 26-plus
mile course in 3 hours, 2 minutes and 17
seconds.
The
event was held the day before the annual
running of the Boston Marathon.
Deena
Kastor won the event in 2:29:35, and will be
joined on the U.S. Olympic team by fellow
Californians Magdalena Lewy Boulet and Blake
Russell.
Paxton
met the trial qualifying standard time in
the St. George Marathon last fall. Paxton is
currently living in Salt Lake City.
