country team sets fundraising events

The Lewis-Clark
State College men’s and women’s cross
country teams are sponsoring a couple of fun
runs on consecutive weekends as fundraisers
for the program.
On Aug. 25, the
Hells Gate Duathon will be held, starting at
9 a.m. at Lewiston’s Hells Gate State Park.
The duathon features a 2-mile run, a 12-mile
bike ride, and another 2-mile run. The event
is open to individuals and 2-person teams.
The cycling portion is open to both road and
mountain bikes. All levels of competitors
are welcome and the registration fees vary
on classification. Pre-registration is
recommended, but race day registration will
be accepted for up to 200 competitors.
Awards will be presented to overall winners
and medals to top three in 5-year age
brackets. More information on the race can

On Sept. 3, the
Labor Day 5K run will be held, starting at 9
a.m. at Kiwanis Park in Lewiston. The
5-kilometer run will follow the levee in
Lewiston and awards will be given to overall
and age group winners. Registration fees
