Has become one of the
premier runners in the
program… Earned the team’s
Champion of Character Award
last year… Has earned
All-Conference honors his
first two years by placing
in the Top 10 at the
Frontier Conference or
Region I meets… Placed third
last year and was the team’s
No. 2 finisher at the
national meet… Missed the
first two meets of the
season with an injury, but
came on strong at the end…
Also competed in track as he
finished fourth in the 5,000
at the Idaho Cup… Won the
5,000 at the Duane Harman
Invite in Spokane and the
10,000 at the Pelleur
Invitational in Spokane… As
a freshman, he finished in
LCSC’s top six in every
race… Claimed the team’s
second place spot at the
Willamette Invite, and his
time of 26:12 was third best
on the team at the national
championship meet… Best 8K
time was 25:31… Was ranked
fourth on the “Top 10
Individual 8K Performers”
list in LCSC history.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a
four-year letter winner in
both track and cross country
at Borah High School... Team
won the 5A state track title
all four years he was there…
Set a state record in the
3,200 as a sophomore with a
time of 9:34.00... Helped
cross country team win one
state title and finish
second twice... Won several
team honors, including Most
Outstanding for both cross
country and track for three
years apiece at Borah… He
finished third overall at
the 5A state meet and was
ninth at the Rocky Mountain
Border Clash.
PERSONAL: Born July
16, 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio
and moved to Boise at the
age of 18 months… Parents
are Brian and Patricia Huey…
Hobbies are biking, hiking,
camping, long boarding,
fishing, and running… Is
pursuing a Secondary
Education degree with an
English Emphasis.
