COLLEGE:
Shaved more than a minute
off her time in the
5-kilometer from the start
of the season to the
midpoint… Came on strong at
the end of the season and
placed 12th at
the Frontier Conference meet
in a personal-best time of
19:35.44 as LCSC had 10 of
the top 12 finishers in the
race… In track, she was part
of the school-record setting
1,600 relay team for
indoors.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Had two strong high school
seasons in Peru. In 2007,
she claimed the city
championship in the 800
meters, and finished second
in the 400. She then
qualified for the semifinals
in the 800 and finished
fourth in the 400 open at
the junior national
championships. In 2006,
Rojas took first in the 800
and second in the 1.500 at
the city championship, and
fourth in the 400 and fifth
in the 800 at the junior
national championships.
