the 5A classification and

Warrior Tanner Smedley at
Kearns High… Posted a
personal-best 5K time of
15:57 when he placed third
at the Tooele Invitational…
Won the regional qualifying
title and finished 14th
overall at the state meet…
Took third in the region as
both a sophomore and a
junior… In track, he won the
1,600 and took third in the
3,200 and 800 in the
regional meet his senior
year… Earned four letters in
cross country and four in
track and was a captain for
three years in both.

Born on July 25, 1991 in
Salt Lake City… Parents are
Daniel and Annette
Shrewsbury, and he has seven
brothers, Danny, Robert,
Ben, Mahonri, Jared, Sam and
Jacob, and two sisters,
Theresa and Jessica… Went to
nationals three times as a
member of the Provo team at
the USATF Cross Country
championships… He placed 21st
his first year to earn
All-America honors… Finished
sixth in a state competition
for sports medicine. Is
pursuing a degree in
Kinesiology.
