COACH PFEIFER ON TIKKER: “If you coach long enough you recruit
players who you thought were pretty good to begin with, then you find out
they are even better. Jared early on is looking like that kind of player.
For his position on the court he might be one of the best catch ready shoot
players we have had for some time at any age and he is only a freshman. It
should not have been any surprise, he grew up with basketball. His father
coached college and was a legend in the Northwest. He played in a very
successful high school program under Ron Cox who was and All-American at
Eastern Washington when they were still in our conference. Jared has
capitalized on all that learning and experience. An added bonus is he has
grown in height and size over the summer. With all that being said what has
impressed all of us is his ability to not just understand what you are
coaching him to do, but to immediately formulate that communication into
action. We are very excited about Jared; he has a chance to have a great
career here, starting this year.”
