PERSONAL:
Born July 12, 1983...brother, Vinnie
was a track athlete at Washington State University...has yet to declare a
major…COACH PFEIFER ON PECHT: “I know the red-shirt year is
not an easy season for any player. I also know that some players take
maximize this opportunity while others get only partial benefit. Lance he
loves to play, he is a gym rat, he truly did maximize his opportunity.
Several times last year during practice I remember telling our assistance
that, “Pecht is with out question the best out side shooter in our program
right now!” That is really high praise when you consider we were second in
the country in making shots from behind the arc. What is really impressive
is that not only has he gotten bigger and stronger through his love to lift
weights he has grown in height as well. We have high expectations for Lance,
not just this year, but over the next three years. He has proven he can make
baskets, we saw him do that against the National Championship team his
freshman year in the National Tournament. What we have observed from him
from the time he has been here is his more holistic comprehension of the
game. He is a better at rebounding, his defense has vastly improved and over
time he is grasping how to play with others. We believe strongly he has the
ability to sneak up on people early, when we know he is not a hidden
commodity.
