Men keep Climbing in National Rankings

The January 4, 2006 Division I national rankings have been released and it is no surprise that the 12-2 Warrior men’s basketball team has moved into the nations top 20. Starting with a preseason ranking of #27, the men’s program has consistently progressed both on the court and in rank. By December 7, 2005 the Warriors were 9-1 and ranked #23, on December 14^th they were bumped up one slot to #22, and today they hold an impressive 12-2 record and the #17 spot in the nation. Sitting atop the men’s standing, with a 12-0 record, is Mountain State College of West Virginia.

Currently on a three game winning streak, although they have not played since mid-December, the Warriors kick off 2006, and the beginning conference play, on the road. January 5^th and 7^th as they travel to Montana to play #7 nationally ranked Carroll College and Rocky Mountain College, respectively, and on January 14^th travel to Utah to face #22 ranked Westminster College. By January 19^th and 21^st the men’s team will be back in the Activity Center as they face conference rivals, University of Great Falls and Montana State Northern.
