Men keep Climbing in National Rankings

The
January 4, 2006 Division I national
rankings have been released and it is no
surprise that the 12-2 Warrior men’s
basketball team has moved into the
nations top 20. Starting with a
preseason ranking of #27, the men’s
program has consistently progressed both
on the court and in rank. By December 7,
2005 the Warriors were 9-1 and ranked
#23, on December 14th they
were bumped up one slot to #22, and
today they hold an impressive 12-2
record and the #17 spot in the nation.
Sitting atop the men’s standing, with a
12-0 record, is Mountain State College
of West Virginia.
Currently on a three game winning
streak, although they have not played
since mid-December, the Warriors kick
off 2006, and the beginning conference
play, on the road. January 5th
and 7th as they travel to
Montana to play #7 nationally ranked
Carroll College and Rocky Mountain
College, respectively, and on January 14th
travel to Utah to face #22 ranked
Westminster College. By January 19th
and 21st the men’s team will
be back in the Activity Center as they
face conference rivals, University of
Great Falls and Montana State Northern.
