Game Story vs. Northwest Nazarene
LEWISTON,ID--Sara McEachern and Jessica Foot poured in 16 points apiece as 4th-ranked, in NAIA Division I, Lewis-Clark State defeated 8th-ranked, in NAIA Division II, Northwest Nazarene, 95-73, in a non-conference womens basketball game played Saturday night, December 16th, at Warrior Gymnasium in Lewiston, ID.
Lewis-Clark State (11-1) went on a 31-10 run after trailing for most of the first half, and then pulled away to take a 51-34 advantage into the half. The Warriors led by as many as 35 points with just under seven minutes remaining, and the Crusaders went on a 25-12 run to close out the game. Brianne Kottwitz had a season-high 10 assists tonight.
The Warriors bench outscored the Crusaders 41-14. Both teams shot the ball well, the Warriors at 53% and the Crusaders at 50% from the floor.
Northwest Nazarene (4-3) were led by Alysson Kollmans team-high 20 points. She also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Chelsey Hall added 16 points, 12 of which came in the second half.
The Warriors host Simon Fraser in an exhibition game Monday night, December 18th at 7:00 pm.
