Warriors March on Saints, 95-62

--Lewis-Clark State College used a 16-4 run, midway through the second half to put away a stubborn Carroll College team, 95-62, in a Frontier Conference womens basketball game, played at Warrior Gymnasium, in Lewiston, ID, Saturday night.Sara McEachern and Shannon Russel each scored 15 points apiece in leading the fifth-ranked (NAIA Division I) Warriors (20-2, 5-1 Frontier Conference) to its ninth-straight 20-win season, all under head coach, Mike Divilbiss. Alyssa Erickson, Brianne Kottwitz and Brooke Cushman all scored 12 points apiece. Kottwitz tallied six assists and Brianne Jolley pulled down a team-high five rebounds. Erickson scored 10 of her 12 points from the free throw line.
Lewis-Clark State raced out to a 15-2 lead from the opening tip, but hit a dry spell that would see the Warriors not score a field goal for two minutes, and Carroll College pulled to within three points.
The Saints (10-6, 2-3) were led by Carly VanDykes 16 points. Nikki McElligott finished with 15 rebounds and Jennifer Driscoll added 10 points. The NAIA Division Is leading 3-point shooter, Danielle Zelinski, was held scoreless and was 0-for-3 from long distance, well below her 50% average (21-42).
