Warriors rout Griffins, 77-47

--Lewis-Clark State College used one of its patented opening tip runs, this one 17-4, to cruise past Westminster College of Salt Lake City, UT, 77-47, in a Frontier Conference womens basketball game, Saturday night, at Warrior Gymnasium.Alyssa Erickson (Wilbur, WA) led five Warrior players in double figures with 18 points, grabbed a season-high nine rebounds, and recorded seven assists, also a season-high, to guide Lewis-Clark State (21-2, 6-1 Frontier Conference), ranked #5 in the latest NAIA Division I poll, to its fourth-straight win, and the 16th win in its last 17 games.
Brianne Kottwitz (Bozeman, MT) added 13 points and six rebounds, and Brooke Cushman (Lewiston, ID) netted 13 points and grabbed nine boards, coming off of the bench. Sara McEachern (Lewiston, ID) tallied 12 points and six rebounds, before fouling out of the game with 5:26 left to go in the game.
Westminster (13-7, 5-2) were held to its least amount of points since losing to Northwest Nazarene, 71-46, November 24th. Shari Kelsch led the Griffins with nine points and the teams leading scorer, Rebekah Steenblik, was held to only eight points. Steenblik came in as the conferences third-leading scorer averaging 14.8 ppg. Rachael Patterson grabbed seven rebounds and Amy Jensen dished out six assists.
