Game Story vs. Montana Tech
Warriors Roll Past Orediggers, 103-57
LEWISTON, ID--The fourth-ranked Lewis-Clark State Warriors used a 27-8 run to open the game and never looked back in a 103-57 rout over Montana Tech in a Frontier Conference womens basketball game at Warrior Gymnasium, Thursday night.
Shannon Russel and Brooke Cushman each scored 15 points in leading seven different Warriors in double figures. Lewis-Clark State (24-2, 9-1 Frontier Conference) honored its three seniors prior to the start of tonights contest. Kally Lytle, Sara McEachern and Cushman will play their final home game, Monday, February 12th, against 12th-ranked Western Montana.
Brianne Jolley added 14 points and six rebounds while Alyssa Erickson scored ten points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. The Warriors forced 26 Oredigger turnovers and out-rebounded Tech, 42-30. LCSC also shot a blistering 56.9% (33-58) from the floor, while holding Tech to only 36.7% (22-60) from the floor.
Montana Tech (5-21; 0-10) was led by Hannah Gundersons 14 points, coming off of the bench. Tricia Slaughter added 13 points to go along with her team-high five assists. Kaila Minehan chipped in with ten points.
