Warriors Tame Lady Bulldogs, 83-75

--The fourth-ranked Lewis-Clark State Warriors used a second half rally to defeat 12th-ranked Western Montana, 83-75, in a womens Frontier Conference basketball game, Monday night, at Warrior Gymnasium.The Warriors (25-2, 10-1 Frontier Conference) trailed by as many as ten points in the second half, but used a 14-4 run to tie the game at 52 with 11:08 remaining and then took the lead for good on a pair of Alyssa Erickson free throws, just 46 seconds later. The win tonight also secures at least a share of the Frontier Conference regular season title.
Brianne Jolley scored a career-high 30 points and also led the team with seven rebounds. Sara McEachern, playing her final regular season home game at Warrior Gymnasium, scored 12 points, six coming from the free throw line. Jessica Foot chipped in with ten points. Brianne Kottwitz registered seven assists and with her seven points tonight, she is only five points away from her 1,000th-point.
Western Montana (18-6, 7-4) were led by Bobbi Suhrs double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Misty Covington and Trish Jones added 12 points apiece. Karly Tait tallied ten points. Covington also added a team-high six assists. The Lady Bulldogs dominated the scoring inside, out scoring the Warriors, 30-16. Foul trouble on the interior, Covington fouled out and Suhr and Kari Vosen registered four fouls apiece, hurt Western down the stretch.
