Lewis-Clark State Signs JC Transfer JUNE 28, 2004 LEWISTON, ID- Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball coach Brian Orr announced that Carole Jackson, (Las Vegas, NV / Barstow College), a 5-9 guard, has signed a letter of intent to attend the school and play basketball. “Carole is extremely athletic and really knows how to attack the basket” said Orr. “Her ability to pressure the ball, run the court, and finish at the rim is a perfect fit for our system. We are excited to have her part our program.” As team captain at Barstow College, Jackson averaged 13.8 points per game and led her team in steals with 3.3 per game which was second best in the Foothill Conference and 14th highest overall in the state of California. She also led the Vikings in free throw percentage .739 (65-88). Jackson is originally from Las Vegas, NV where she attended Rancho High School. Her senior year she earned 1st Team All-Conference honors in basketball, volleyball, and track while being named the MVP on all three teams. She was also named the school’s Female Athlete of the Year. The Lewis-Clark State Warriors were 23-10 last season and have won 23 games in each of Orr’s three seasons as head coach. Jackson joins Danielle Boggs (Columbia River HS), Katie Hart (Kittitas HS), Jade Fulbright (Wenatchee HS), Nikki Haerling (Wenatchee Valley College) and Vanessa West (Jerome HS) in Orr’s 2004 recruiting class.
