1997-98 Player Profiles

Misty Watson #4 5-5 Fr. Pt. Guard Calgary, Alberta, Canada
The 1997-98 high school basketball season was a great one for Misty. Her team, D.P. Scarlett, won the Alberta Championship with a 31-0 season record. Misty was also the recipient of the Alberta Player of the Year Award and the Arlene McGinn Award for excellence academically and in basketball in the city of Calgary. Her final two-year record at D.P. Scarlett was 59-1. In her senior season as the team's point guard and leader, she averaged 11 points, 4 assists and 5 steals a game.

Misty is extremely quick. She learns things very quickly and has a great work ethic. She understands how to play. She could play both point and two guard for us. Misty is a Pre-Med major.

PERSPECTIVE: Misty is familiar with Lewiston as her father coached AAU teams that have played in tournaments here. Misty also attended LCSC basketball camps in Warrior Gym. She shoots the ball well, is quick and works extremely hard.
PROSPECTUS: "She understands the game, picks things up very quickly. She was the Alberta Player of the Year, and to be frank, she’s better than I thought she was going to be."
