Warriors Drop One Spot to #5


Lewiston, ID-The Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball team dropped one spot to #5 in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Top-25 Poll, released Tuesday, January 16th.

The Warriors (18-2, 3-1 Frontier Conference), suffered its first loss, in the regular season, to a Frontier conference opponent since joining the league last year. The Warriors lost to current #16, Western Montana (13-4, 2-2), and then defeated Montana Tech, to split their first conference road trip of the season.

The Frontier Conference is well represented in the Top-25 Poll. Joining L-C and Western Montana College is 20th-ranked Montana State University-Northern. The Skylights are 13-4 overall and 0-2 in the conference. MSUN defeated the University of Great Falls, last night, 85-68, raising their record to 14-4 and 1-2 in the league.

The Warriors return to action on Thursday night, at 6:00 pm, against Rocky Mountain College. On Saturday night, L-C plays Carroll College, who received six votes for the poll.
