Leah McCauley Signs Letter-of-Intent to Attend LCSC and Play Basketball
LEWISTON, ID-Leah McCauley of Grangeville, ID, has signed a letter-of-intent to attend Lewis-Clark State College and play womens basketball beginning in the Fall of 2001. McCauley becomes the first recruit signed by new womens basketball coach Brian Orr.
"We are extremely excited to have Leah joining our basketball program," said Orr. "You cannot help but be impressed by her athleticism and when you consider her size, work ethic, and great attitude, you have the makings of an outstanding college player."
McCauley, a 6-2 post player from Grangeville High, was the teams Most Valuable Player this past winter. She averaged 14 points per game and pulled down 8.5 rebounds per game. McCauley also played in the Senior All-Star Game.
McCauley has also excelled on the track. She is the two-time A-2 State Champion in the 400-meter run. McCauley has already qualified for the 200 and 400-meter runs this year and will also run a leg in the 4x400 medley relay.
